Cobra London Market hits the spotlight again and this time with news about the appointment of Chris Cullen, an industry expert, to head up its Casualty Division.
With over 30 years’ experience within the insurance industry, Chris joins from Tokio Marine Kiln, where he was Head of UK Liability responsible for both Company & Lloyds platforms. Prior to Tokio Marine Kiln, Chris has held various roles with companies such as QBE, ACE, Norwich Union and London & Edinburgh.
The vast experience and knowledge that Chris has accumulated over the past three decades, makes him the ideal candidate to head the Casualty division at Cobra London Markets. He will lead the team into a new phase of development and growth. His experience as an underwriter will be invaluable particularly in the current market conditions where rates are increasing and capacity is reducing.
“We have come a long way since insurance was submitted via proposal forms in the post and paid for by a cheque”, says Chris. “I am looking forward to being part of a new team, turning my hand to Insurance broking and working with people I have known for many years. Providing exceptional service and maintaining client relationships is key to a successful broking business” comments Chris Cullen.
“Bringing Chris into the team, once again reinforces the businesses’ commitment to invest in quality individuals whose talents will immediately strengthen our proposition to market and be of major benefit to our clients,” said Andrew Walsh, Managing Director at Citynet and Cobra London Markets.
Present on the insurance market for the last two decades, Citynet alongside Cobra London Markets have established themselves as London Market Specialists in the placement of Liability, Property, Motor Fleet, Professional Risks, Marine, and various associated classes.
“We are delighted to welcome Chris into the firm. We have traded with him for many years and his experience, knowledge, and contacts will prove invaluable in helping us grow and service the account. It emphasises our commitment to growing the Cobra London Market team and shows our agents that we mean business. He is a very high profile individual and he will help us attract further talent into the team. We have more quality individuals joining us and I honestly believe we are becoming the employer of choice for anyone with ambition and work ethic.” added Richard Scott, Chief Executive Officer at Citynet and Cobra London Markets.
